Ahoy there! kT Frost here, ultimate overlord of Exodus.:
Well, ATX is at an end and what a great ride it has been. This was the first time Exodus. competed in an Alliance Tournament and I thought I would share a few words with the rest of the community.
Let me start by congratulating Verge of Collapse on their epic win this year. It was some consolation for us that we went down to a team in the semi-finals that went on to win the tournament. We will likewise enjoy the ATX victory vicariously through you.
Some great teams went through to the final 16 - all deserving of a place there. I can certainly say that Exodus. has developed a deep respect for the majority of the finalists this season. Some great fights, some lol-fights and let's not forget the space bushido fights (ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?!) o7o7o7!
It is also worth to mention the teams on whose wrecks we laid the foundations of our road to the semi-finals. I salute you sirs! It was great coming up against quality sides this season, such as Agony... twiceGǪ as well as all the teams in our group. And let us not forget the Brotherhood of Poopenshaften - guys... the Rifter-rush would have beaten us on the first day. Your mercy will not go unnoticed.
Memorable mentions go out to CCP for, obviously, hosting ATs and the "eve experts" (yah putting that in quotations was mean, but let's see if it works out for me) that have entertained us with their commentary and at times a knack for stating the obviousGǪ such as when a SHIP EXPLODES GÇô thanks MBIII. I think I speak for the whole community when I say MBIII + razor = epic win. Naah, MBIII is cool - you actually pull off the whole The Three Musketeers look. SeriouslyGǪ I bet it gets you chicks.
I also didn't get a mention as the mastermind of Exodus.' AT performance up to the semi-final mark, at which point A80RT had to step in for the match vs Verge of Collapse... lack of 1/2 time oranges clearly affected our performance and cost us the match. Perhaps next year the commentators will be inclined to acknowledge kT.
Also, it goes without saying that quite a few members of our alliance put in a lot of time, energy and effort to brainstorm setups, organise players, schedule practices, provide funds and partake in the matches. I won't name specific names as I am sure to leave people out. Suffice to say that Belegarath, Nixor, Diablo, Haker, Misterfalcon, Henry and Sabotage had nothing to do with anything. A special thank you goes to the alliances that helped us practice, especially at the 12v12 stages (you know who you are <3 <3 <3) and also HYDRA for being our B-team *cough*.
Anywho, our fist AT has been a great experience for us and we certainly hope to have many more shots at the title in the years to come.
See you next year!
